The Bluewater Recycling Association (BRA) is a rural based non-profit organization developing and maintaining facilities on behalf of, and in cooperation with the municipal sector that provides integrated waste reduction and environmental services ranging from collection and processing to marketing superior quality products and services.
All of Bluewater now participates in the automated collection program. Set out your wheelie bins at the road when full (or almost). Waste and recyclables will be collected at the same time with the same vehicle in a two compartment truck. TIP:
The wheelie bins should be placed at least 3 feet away from any other objects with the wheels and handle pointing towards the house and the lid opening towards the road. The truck arm can reach up to 12 feet. Rural collection is done on one side of the road only, the same side as always or whichever side the driver leaves the bins.
Refer to your
for the waste and recycling collection schedule.
To ensure that your materials are collected, place your bins at the curb by 7:00 am.
Please remember that if your collection falls on a holiday, collection will occur as scheduled, except for Christmas and New Year’s Day; when collection may be rescheduled on an alternate day such as the Saturday in between.
If you have been missed, you can report the issue to Bluewater Recycling by calling their office at 1-800-265-9799 ext 228 or
report a miss collection.
