Notice of decision to repeal designation by-law under Section 32 of the Ontario Heritage Act

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Bluewater at its regular meeting of Council on April 22, 2025, adopted By-law 44-2025 Being a By-law to repeal By-Law 257-1985 which designates 41 Bayfield Main St. South, Plan 149 Pt Lot RP22R651, Bayfield Ward, Municipality of Bluewater, known as Orlagh, under section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act.
The Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O., 1990, c. 0.18 as amended, provides that an owner of property designated under the Ontario Heritage Act may apply to Municipal Council to repeal the by-law or part thereof designating the property.
Any person may who objects to the decision may, within 30 days after the date of this Notice, appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal by giving the Tribunal and the Clerk of the municipality, a notice of appeal under Section 32, subsection 2 (ii) of the Act setting out the objection to the decision and the reasons in support of the objection, accompanied by the fee charged by the Tribunal.

Appeals must be filed with the Municipal Clerk and Tribunal by Friday, May 30th, 2025.
