Committees>
The Municipality of Bluewater has a number of committees that members of the community may participate in. Involvement with our committees is a great way for local residents to volunteer in our community and learn about key municipal issues and initiatives.
The Municipality of Bluewater is in the process of preparing a secondary plan for the Bayfield settlement area. The Bluewater Official Plan guides development in all areas of Bluewater. The Secondary Plan will provide more specific policies and details that address development matters within the Bayfield community. The Secondary Plan seeks to help manage change and to respect the character of Bayfield.
A citizen advisory committee of 15 community members was struck by Council in 2020. The secondary plan project is led by Denise Van Amersfoort, Senior Planner with the County of Huron.
A comprehensive website has been developed. The page has all the information that has been received to date, including resident feedback on various topics in the Plan. Comments and feedback are encouraged! There are multiple opportunities and methods to participate. See the webpage to:
Please participate in this process! Secondary Plan development will continue to mid-2022. To view the terms of reference for the citizen advisory committee, please contact the Development Services Department.
