Official List of Certified Candidates and Acclaimed Offices

Following the close of the nomination period on August 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. and by 4 p.m. on Monday, August 24, the Clerk of the Municipality of Bluewater is responsible for declaring any candidates who have been acclaimed to office and for posting the official list of certified candidates.

A candidate is acclaimed to office when only one nomination per position is received and no vote is required. The official list of certified candidates names all candidates whose nominations have been certified and accepted as complete by the Clerk. When more than one candidate is nominated for a position, an election is held and their names appear on the ballot during the voting period.

The Clerk has hereby declared the certified candidates listed below to be acclaimed to the office that follows their respective names pursuant to Section 37 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996:

Notice is hereby given to the electors of the Municipality of Bluewater that during the period commencing May 1, 2026 and completed on Nomination Day, August 21, 2026, the following persons filed all necessary papers, endorsement of nominations, declarations and fees. Each person is qualified and their Nomination satisfies the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. Therefore, such candidates have been certified for the office which follows their respective name:
