Ontario Predation and Wildlife Damage

The Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program provides financial assistance to producers whose livestock, poultry and honey bees have been damaged by wildlife (i.e. coyote kill). The Municipality of Bluewater processes claims on behalf of the Province of Ontario. Reporting livestock kills is time-sensitive and must be completed within specific timelines. 

Anyone wishing to make a claim under the program should report predation immediately.

To report a livestock kill, submit a request in writing to the Development Services department. A call may be made to the by-law enforcement urgent number at 519-494-3554; however, a written request is required to trigger the livestock evaluator's review.
